Hi everyone,
I just stumbled across this thread.
I live in Christchurch and I am overwhelmed by everyones thoughts and comments. Its nice to know we are not alone in our grief.
Thank you for your prayers.
I am one of the lucky few who have power and water and suffered little damage, although my brother, sister and mother in law all lost their homes.
Its a very sad time for our nation. Its surreal living in a city with no puplic transport, no movie theatres, no restaurants....... The streets are cracked and in ruin, sand and dust fill your lungs and eyes, sewerage flows like rivers, and the ground shudders with over 5500 aftershocks.
60,000 people have fled the city and 3 suburbs have been declared un-repairable leaving 10's of 1000's homeless.
My thoughts too are with those who lost their lives, and the families they left behind.
