pool cleaner?

i still can't find any washing soda here where i live, but i've read that PH UP which is used for cleaning pools can be used, would like to know if anyone here has used it, i found some at lowes but don't know if 92%-98% sodium carbonate is ok to use, they say it has to be 100% soda ash well please let me know...thanks

Same stuff as long as it is 100 sodium carbonate. Kinda like lye is sodium hydroxide. I use it in my laundry soap.

The Ph Increaser (in pool supplies) I got at Wal-Mart (twice now) is 100% sodium carbonate and was $6.97 for what ended up being 6.5 cups.
