I had been using 18-20% then dropped it to 15-18% and now I am down to ~12% and will test that for awhile. My skin was drying out too much. I was given a bar that I loved, but my legs looked like alligator skin and started to hurt. It was 22% CO. I use a net scrubby so even the low CO% will lather up enough for me.

I made a bar with 15% coconut oil. I'm waiting for another soap recipe with 20% to cure so I can test it out and see which I like better.

33% in regular soaps and I haven't tried a salt soap but the recipe my grandma uses is 100% coconut oil.

Except for "man" soaps, where I use 25% coconut, I too split with PKO for the rest of my soaps. 20% coconut - 5% pko. Seems to bubble nice and doesn't leave a "squeaky clean" feeling.

Although.... I started out with 25% coconut and no one told me personally that they felt too clean or strippy. I just changed because *I* thought that 25% felt too cleansing.
why "man" soap?
