I read on this forum that some people polish and/or wash their soap before giving away or selling.

Would you please share what you do and why? I'm just curious.

I don't...cause that just seems icky. However I sometimes will do one bar for photo reasons. But if I knew someone did that I probably wouldn't buy. I don't know...just me.

And just to clarify. I'm talking about when people polish/wash in their hands under running water like they are using it. I guess I wouldn't have much of a problem with a squirt of alcohol or something like that.

I understand some people use tissue papper and buff soap with it. I do not . Seems like waste of time to me.

I polish the edges with a cloth but I don´t run it under water.

If you choose to shape, polish and/or wash your soap bars, do you do this immediately after cutting the soap into bars?

I'm curious about this.
