if the tops end up too rough you could always use these for felted bars! they look like a perfect candidate!

I don't hate them either :) hehe

Eh, they are just for us, so I don't mind the rough tops. :)

Looks like whole wheat bread dough!

If it smells good and it lathers, it's still a victory.

The scent did fade, but I can still smell them, so we'll see how they after the cure, but just in cleaning up the mess, I can already tell it's going to be a decent bar as far as suds, lather and overall conditioning go...
I'll know more though in a month or so. :)

Not as 'unhappy' as I thought I'd be so that's always a plus. :)

I like the rough tops, they look like they'll lather up a storm.
At least that seems to be the case whenever I've rebatched. They always seem to be more sudsy and mild. Can't wait to see how you like them.

My rebatched was so ugly! Like a previous poster said, perfect for felting :D because the actual soap was lovely!

I have a FCS hobby cutter, which is what I cut these bars with, so if the tops bothered me I could have just shaved them off.
I like them though. Gives them character and adds to the charm and story of their life. :)

I've never done the felted technique. Not sure I would like it? IDK though...
That will be a project for another time.
:)
