Ok people I was wondering if you have any thoughts. I just bought 50Lbs of Palm oil and it is seperated and I know it needs to be melted and mixed before use. thouble is that it is in a large plastic bucket. Thoughts on how to melt all this oil?

Any input would be very very welcome.

that is a pretty good idea :)

i was thinking put it in the sunlight but bathtub sounds better... and its a way to double the effectiveness of taking a bath lol....

Take a 50 pound propane bottle and a tiger torch and light the tiger torch...errrr, on second thought the bathtub sounds just fine.

Now for the REAL secret.

Stir it frequently as it re-solidifies (could take a couple of days) so that you end up with a (relatively) homogeneous mix that you can just scoop or chunk out out what you need.

if it is fairly soft

grab a man, any man will do, but a handy one is better. arm him with a squirrel mixer attached to a drill ( well actually you have to remove that plug on the lid and slip the squirrel mixer up thru it and then attach it to the drill ) put lid back on and mix away. i then pour it into smaller gallon buckets and put in the freezer till they solidify. remove them and stack in a cool basement till needed. it much easier to stir a smaller bucket it you have, to then that huge thing.

i like the homoginized palm from columbus foods so much better. but they only ship during the cooler months.

Palm oil problem

We purchased a boat electric de humidifier plate can be purchased at BOAT US. You put the plastic bucket on the top and cover it with a blanket for 6 to 8 hours, after it heats up just mix with a high-speed drill and mixer bit. It also works great for melting coconut oil that has hardened
