I'm wondering if this is normal? Everything I add Phenonip to takes on a faint scent of the preservative and I'm wondering if something's wrong or if I'm doing something wrong. I let the mixture (like a lotion or cream) cool to maybe 100F max and then add my preservative and then my FO. The faint scent appears almost immediately and doesn't fade much if any after the product has fully cooled and thickened. It doesn't matter what oils or FO I'm using and the bottle of Phenonip has done this since I bought it. Any thoughts or anyone else have this problem? It's not an offensive smell, just seems to alter the FO a bit.

optiphen does that too, but after I add my fragrances I don't notice it hardly anymore.

It IS a pretty subtle scent that I'm guessing only I would notice since the FO bottle is right next to me, but it's altering the scent just a touch and I'd like to stop it if it's at all possible. I guess I have a really sensitive nose

I suppose I should add that I'm using the Phenonip at 1% of my recipe.

Any other thoughts, comments or similar problems would be great.

Thanks as always everyone!
