i just brewed a strong batch of peppermint tea. it brewed a typical brown tea color. i am probably going to make a soap batch using some variation of olive, coconut, palm, avocado, and maybe some other stuff. what color finished product soap should i expect from peppermint tea?

also i am looking for rooibos tea in the supermarket and had no luck, where else can i look locally, without ordering online?

I've used peppermint tea in soap before and it turned the soap brown. I also tried using cranberry fig tea that was a nice deep red colour but also turned brown in soap. I'm guessing most teas will turn brown...

actually kind of funny... didnt even know what this tea was, looked in my cupboard and wooooah..i have some!?! whod a thunk!!!

Roobibos tea can sometimes be found in a regular supermarket, but you can reliably find it in the health food store. It is a tea made from a South African bush and it is full of antioxidants. I have never soaped with it but it is a lovely brick red color as tea.
