Just found this forum, love it!! I saw the post on the Peak sale and want to take advantage of it, but not sure how the FO's behave in CP soap. I'm guessing that I should stick to the FO's listed in the bath and body section, but soo many reviews don't mention CP! Any advice would be MOST welcome.
Very new to soaping (just made my 4th batch today!), and I've only used Fo's from Brambleberry so far. Not bad.. not blown away either, but it just may be the scents I chose. I'll def try some others by them, but I want to try other vendors as well. I saw wsp mentioned on this forum, so I'm going to check them out, and I'm waiting on an order from Sweetcakes. Any other places I should take a look at??

Oh man, the list never ends. The only one I really don't care for is Wellington, but maybe I just haven't tried enough of them. Brambleberry is great, but can be pricey. LOVE Peaks, Aroma Haven, some WSP. Only use phthalate-free FOs for bizz, and WSP are all phthalate-free. Peak has a list they'll send you, and Aroma Haven's are all identified on their site. I appreciate that. Oh, and Nature's Garden, Snowdrift (love both), New Directions, DayStar (loved all of them so far), Common Scents (haven't tried Common Scents yet), Glory Bee, CandleScience, and Elements.

I no longer order from Sweetcakes because they will not provide a list of phthalate-free fragrances. When I requested the information from them, I received a long letter lecturing on how they don't feel phthalates are a problem, etc. Not interested in what they think...I AM interested in what my customers think. Too bad; I like their FOs otherwise.

As far as FOs behaving, the only ones I count on having trouble with are florals, fall spice types like the pumpkin fragrances, and cedarwood. Doesn't matter where they're from. I use full water for them and can still swirl most of the time. MOST of the time. I've had some spectacular flops as well as successes. I take the flops (after all, it's just cosmetic) to our city's homeless shelters. They really appreciate them there.

Have fun shopping! Just put in my Peak's sale order. Woohoo!

Here are some other vendors.
Bittercreek
Elements Bath & Body
Southern Garden Scents
Aroma Haven/Rustic Escentuals
DayStar
Symphony Scents

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few, but that's all I can think of right now.

My favorite FO suppliers are Daystar, ScentWorks, Brambleberry and Soapsupplies. I order a lot from Brambleberry because they're close to me *but* I order mostly supplies from them. Every FO I have tried from them has been very nice though. I order FOs most frequently from DS and SW, hands down. :)

Oh ya...SoapSupplies.net. LOVE 'em. Symphony Scents is new to me...gotta go check it out! @Cerelife...amazing variety out there, huh? Love scent shopping in my jammies.

Also Save on Scents has great sample packs and sniffies if you are unsure and loyal customer program.
I like Apricot Mango from them (my DH fav)
Also their Good Furtune Peace and Good Fortune Love are nice and soft.

Sometimes you have to give your soaps a few weeks or months for a frag to come out nice! Ginger Passion from Peak is a great example of over time it got better :)

Yet some may fade - with EOs I think this happens more so you need to anchor them more.

Have fun!

I usually order from Brambleberry, Camden Grey & Elements Bath & Body. But just when I think I have visited everyone of the soap related websites, I stumble upon a new one :D

love peak! ask me. Ive soaped a lot of them, some act up, some dont just depends! I also use, natures garden & elements bath & body.

THANKS!!

You guys are awesome!! Had my soaping notebook out scribbling away frantically until I realized I can look this post up anytime...I can be such a nerd, LOL!
LOVE this forum...Peak, here I come and I can't wait to try some of these vendors!
Thanks again!!

just got my double peak order, its my first. I usually order from BB.
I'm not sure how I feel about most of my 10 fragrances.
I ordered all woodsy, green scents.
I stay away from florals & too much fruity, baked sweets smells.
So I far I kinda feel like the fragrances may be too cloying & artificial smelling.
BB's fragrances are pretty good & close to the real things & quite fresh as far as FO's go.
Now I haven't soaped yet but just from sniffing the bottles...
just sayin

Unfortunately there's no good way to test a fragrance without soaping it. I know 2 of my favorites-- the Irish Tweed and Angel Baby from AH--actually stink to me both OOB and when first soaped. After they've cured a few weeks, they're my favorites.
