This took some time to make but turned out rather nicely. I used paprika infused olive/rice bran oil, as well as a few strands of saffron infused in olive/coconut oil for contrast. It is fully gelled and still very soft. Scented with orange and frankincense. My daughter says the round ones remind her of Jupiter.

Hmm, looks tasty to me like sticky caramel :)

Nice colours, is the darker colour the paprika?

Yep, it's red from paprika alright. Might have put too much in the oil but oh well. I'm just happy that it turned out reasonably well because it is a nice blend of oils with good bubble action. The bars remind me of melted mozzarella in pasta sauce, lol. I wasn't expecting the soap to heat up the way it did but I love the full gelled look.

So far they are still translucent-like but I just cut them this morning. I love that look because it gives 'depth', for lack of a better word. I think these ones will turn out like my lemongrass ones and take half a year to harden unless I stop touching them. :D
I'm going to play around a bit with the spices to see what I can come up with. Fun stuff!

Love those colors! My first soap was in a pringles can. I need to start saving them again because this makes me want to do another round one.

That translucent look is something I could use for certain things. It must come from the fact that the oils themselves are colored, versus using micas which must opacify the soap. For the white soap, you said you used a bit of saffron in the oils. Were the oils strongly colored by it? That part looks more solid, for lack of a better word. I have strong round soap envy right now!

The saffron didn't do much for colour, maybe a touch of yellow and due to cost I didn't go crazy with the strands either ;-).
When the soap is wet and under the right lighting you can see the paprika suspended in the oil. I think the heating up has something to do with it (my little tea satchet box blew out on one side, possibly because it got so hot).
