I have ~150 bars that I can't get rid of, when we head north in a few weeks, but I can't take them all with me... be lucky to take 2-3 dozen. So I need to store my "babies" but not sure how best to do it. For the boxes I packed up for Clean the World, I did a layer of soap (laid flat), layer of wax paper, layer of soap, etc. The scents have not crossed over so I wonder if that would work for long term storage (a year or so). What happens if one gets DOS... does it spread? The soaps are 1-6 months old. Thoughts? Thanks!

(no more soaping for me for a while, all my supplies are packed, sad!!)

Packing sounds good to me - wax paper in between. But I do think that DOS spreads - depends on its environment. They'll be cool and dry in storage??

It sounds like a good idea as long as it was in a breathable box, like cardboard. Unless you lived somewhere like me, I can see the soap not staying dry if it was sealed in. Especially the newer bars. Just my 2 cents which might not even be worth 2 cents...

Thanks, I'll just do that. It'll be cool during the fall, winter, and spring... hot in the summer though. And a bit humid but not horrible. I guess this'll be a good test for long term effectiveness of my soap lol
