Just received my order of TiO2 and chromium red CrO3

The second one confuses me. Its chromium(VI)oxide and as i can see,its toxic an no way im putting this in my soap...so i sc***d this order up
On the net i found hexavalent chromium to be a group of compounds. What chomium should I have ordered?

Can anyone give me a suggestion on which oxides you use and what color they give? So far i only used ground herbs and dont have experience with oxides... :(

You can't use just any oxide. They have to be specially for body products.Artist's oxides & pigments have all sorts of nasties & the natural occuring ones are chock full of delightful goodies such as lead, arsenic etc. Ordering from a soap supplier is the only way to go Im afraid. They're very economical tho-a little goes a looong way!
