Orange Clove Pomander Soap

This is the biggest batch I have made at 6lbs. The EO's were Clove Bud, Cinnamon Orange, and Rosemary. This was also the first time I have had a soap gel. Freaked me out at first but, then I realized what it was. Not sure if it was the recipe or the new mold.

Did it gel that you saw or did the soap overheat slightly? Most soaps will gel just a little bit unless you do something to stop them, like put them in the freezer.
But spicy eo's can cause overheating.

Oh so nice. I bet it smells beautiful. I need to visit the photo section here more often. Very inspiring but I just have had some ugly plain as sin soaps and wanted to wait til I had a triumph.

Hey Genny I think it gelled. There was a crust on the top but, you could tilt the mold and the soap would move. This is the first soap I have made in this 1x4 mold. I made my other molds out of 2x4's I had laying around. I tend to find a way to get it done around here.

countrymonkey, I will try! There is one soap I make I just posted about in CP and though it's just a plain ivory color and no frills, it's my best effort so far.
