One month old castile soap causes dry skin. Why???

I plan on waiting 4-6 months before I try my Castile soaps. So I will give a +1 on the lard. Mine are 80% lard, 15% CO and 5% castor. After 1 month they are already lovely, and hubby demanded a batch of his very own, no color and scented with just a tiny bit of tea tree oil. He has itchy patches of excema on his back and he says the lard soap really helps.
 
I tested my Castile every week and found a significant difference in the lather and mildness at 16 weeks. I did find some improvement after that, no argument, but for me 4 months was when it turned into a good soap.
