I'm a newbie and this is my best looking batch so far. Buttermilk oatmeal honey.

These are beautiful. I would use these in a flash. Both Buttermilk and Oatmeal would feed the skin like supernutrients.

So nice.

April

That is some pretty soap! It looks so creamy and gentle. Good job!

Ohhh that is a lovely warm looking soap you did really well. Please let us know how it feels once cured pleeeease :D

I remember reading on here somewhere that it helps to slice the bar upsde down so the oat topping (or whichever topping is used) doesn't get dragged down leaving drag marks on the soap when cutting from topping side up just thought I would throw that in for any newby soaper, it has saved me alot of good bars.

Thanks! Good to know!

Just to add a general comment about Oatmeal because you just reminded me. It can also get buggy. I had a bag of organic oatmeal and I really didn't have it too long, but I found bugs in it. Nasty.

That looks lovely!
Look out for mice though, I've heard they like to come out and eat the oatmeal off the top.
Who did that happen to?

That's what happened to mine just last week! Little blighters. Now I have to come up with some type of enclosed mouseproof curing space.
