OK OK LOL CAN SOMEONE TELL ME PLEASE...

HIYA

today i got my first lot off supplies..i have been looking roud the net and dont seem to have learnt much for all the reading ive been doin...nothing like hands on so i ordered fragrance oil,soap base(m&p),dye and a mould...this is what i was advised by an ebay member to sart with
ok ..firstly i melted the base in a pot,then i added the dye then the fragrance then poured it in the mould ...simple eh?infact it seems far too simple so what did i do wrong ?
it has turned out ok i guess..well its a rectangle,smells nice and its pink lol

Any suggestions??

Hi.. I am new here as well. And do alot of my shopping on ebay as well
anyways.. the melt and pour method is what you did with the base that you bought...

I bought tons of base from ebay..
It is just not as fun as the CP... CP.. is making it from scratch...
there are fun things to do with the M&P.. but you also have to make sure you get a really good soap base to begin with.. then you can get as creative as you want.

I've been making MP soaps for almost a year now and it really is easy and fun! I've been making CP soap for about 3 weeks now and that is fun too - a little more complex but still easy. MP can have many things added to it to create something special like butters (e.g. mango, cocoa, shea....) oils, aloe, loofah, pumice, even (clean) sand - you are only limited by your imagination. Embedding previously make colourful soap shapes/bits is an awesome look. You only have to make sure you don't exceed the maximum amounts of each additive to have a finished product that is still relatively hard and soap-like!
