So I used shamrock green in my cupcake soap and came into my soaping room today and found thisView attachment 29477
Here is the recipe I usedView attachment 29478
I used shamrock green mica from brambleberry.
When you add it should have no bearing on what the end color will actually be. I usually mix up my colors into my pitchers, then split out my batch to color on portions by pouring into those already premixed colored pitchers. I will also sometimes color my oils before even adding lye into the oils. I very very rarely ever add color at the end of the process. Never had a problem, like I said, unless it's not a pH stable colorant, or if I do or don't gel.So I think I just figured out my problem. I started putting my micas in my pitchers before pour in my batch into each pitcher. This is the first time I have done that with this green. On the brambleberry website it says to add at trace which is what I usually do.
