Has anyone tried rice bran or soybean oil in facial cream??
Im trying to formulate something non greasy for oily skin n dry skin

My earlier batch was with in %
Shea 2
Coco 2
Rbo 7
Soy 5
Coconut oil 3
IPM 3 ( suppose to cut the greasyness)
Steric acid 3
Ewax 8 ( is this enuf or shld i increase by 1%)
Sodium lactate 2
Dimethacone 1
Rest all water

It was a little oily. Took a little longer to absorb.

What n how much do i change to make it fast absorbing for oily skin n dry skin.

According to Susan Swift, soybean oil is considered a light oil. My personal favorites for facial products are sweet almond, rosehip and grapeseed oils. I have also read that mango butter produces a drier feeling product

In my opionin, cocoa butter tends to sit on the skin rather than absorbing, which is why I love it for lip balms. You can experiment by putting a bit of oil on your skin to see how long before it absorbs.

I am a really oily girl. I personally would only use the Shea & RBO, no stearic. Increase the water amounts to compensate for the other oils & butters.
