This is the batch that I did with 75% (or was it 70% ?) CO, superfatted 20%. I had my test mold lined and when I poured my ITP swirl into the mold, it instantly leaked. Had to QUICKLY grab anything I could find and ended up pouring my swirled soap into a plastic container. My ITP swirl was now purple mush. I didn't have any idea how dark this would end up being, though. Here's what I ended up with. I added clear glycerin sticks sprayed with alcohol to the batter, but they just look goofy.

It's very nice smelling, though...Ginger Lime.

Oh wow....those look great!

Like everyone else, I'm wondering what you used to get the purple. I recently made some purple soap using Select Shades and you can see puple going down the drain as I use it. It's not staining, but I'm not too sure how customers would feel about that.

What i used was WAY too much MMS Grape Color (Blue #1). I have a set of tiny measuring spoons that resemble the teensy little scoop you can buy for powdered colors. I used the one that said "dash".

The powder is water soluble, though it did disperse in about a tablespoon of the melted oil.

The soap is so "melty" right now that if I set it on anything, it leaves behind a trail of dark purple. I don't know if it will show up as purple water when washing. This one is an experiment for sure.

Tht is the ultimate purple color
My gothics would love that - perhaps they don't mind purple lather

Love it badly!
I bet (if you decide to rebatch) that purple chunks in a white soap would be TDF too!

i did dk purple bars once, they were almost black! i used brambleberry liquid color, i guess a little goes a long way.

Eucalyptus,

I will keep the scraps and cut them into irregular pieces to place into a natural colored version of same soap. That does, indeed sound awesome. I just want to wait about 6 weeks before doing so.
