Hi can i use coconut milk powder in hp soap n how/when do i add it and how much. Can i use any hp soap recipe and just add coconut milk powder. :?

Yes you can. What I do is take a little bit of the melted oils and make a slurry or paste with my milk powder. set this aside. Then after I add the lye to my pot of oils, and stick blend it a couple of times I add in the milk slurry. Stick blend to trace.

Looking forward to seeing your end product!

Thanks i will be making it today, how much milk power should i put in. Also if i have a supperfat/discount of 8 do i need to lower it. :?

I judge my SF on the recipe and usually soap at 5-6% but if you want to use 8% that will be perfectly fine ....it's personal preference. As for the amt. of milk powder, go according to the directions on the can for powdered if your opting for 100% milk as your liquid.
Good luck:)

Ok ive made my hp soap receipe i used was

82% Beef Tallow
10% Caster oil
8% Coconut Oil

Is there any way of stopping the soap turning a caramel colour. I think it smells a little meaty ive added my fragrance oil. My husband says it doesnt he thinks it smells like cake Lol. My hands feel quite soft but woudnt mind it a bit more moisturising. I did sf at 10. Will the meaty smell go awy when it hardens, or maybe its just me thinking it smells meaty lol.

Here is piccie not sure about the petals though, a bit pink i think lol
