While away for Thanksgiving, my father and I made a soap cutter. We refer to it as the Guitine. It works great and was made with just some scrap oak that he had in his shop. We fitted it for my krinkle cutter and it works great for straight cuts. You can see it on my blog, http://www.kleansoap.blogspot.com. It was really easy to make and is really sturdy.

Funny because me and my dad have been brainstorming in the past 3 days on how we're going to make a good soap cutter ;)

Very nice cutter you have soap boy. Cleaver conception indeed. Kudos to your father. Tell him I said a job "well done!" :)

Thanks everyone. I figured since I am new to this that I wasn't going to sink a lot of money into it and my father is a crafty woodworker. It all panned out since I got the cutter and loaf molds for free...i just had to spend time with my parents (which isn't bad at all).

I haven't been able to find one of those extra wide crinkle cutters over here, I have a shorter one, it's about 10cm wide...I originally bought it to make chips with. The only problem with using it to cut soap is I have to go across with it twice and my curves don't always match up and there are these knobbly bits on the ends that take chunks out of my soap.
