New to soap making and this board.

Hi , glad to be here. I've just started soap making and love it! I use the room temp process and have been having problems with color. What should I be using for this process?

i am completely new to soap making... But i am trying to launch a Home Made Soap by 1st of January 2013. now time is not really on my side and i really need some one as an consultant to guid me through the whole process.

i have lots of things to do!!! where am i at with my project, well i have purchased the lye flakes, and i have virgn coconut oil which we produce, i ve got the blender, essential oils.. NO Recipes YET..... Infra red Thermometer in on the way...

packing is finalized -

so this is how far i have gone with the project and its just the begining of a long story.

guys i really need someone whom i can skype, and guid me through this and help me get started.

mooch3300, the best thing for you to do is to find a soap making class near you for hands-on experience. There are also several books available at online book stores. Soapqueen TV also has some food YouTube videos on soapmaking. Don't plan on trying to sell soap until you have a couple of years of soapmaking under your belt.

Mooch, if you want to get any responses, I'd start a new thread under your own name.

But I will tell you what the responses are likely to be. Most people will advise caution and waiting at least a year before you begin to sell.
