i was making soap yesterday and i was trying to figure out what new things i can add to the soap. i decided to grind up hibiscus tea leaves into a powder and add it into the soap. i was hoping it would turn the soap red but at first it became gray! i was surprised. by the next day it was more of a slight orange. in a way it looks like DOS but i doubt it is since i only used coconut oil, castor oil and lard. is it still possible to get dreaded orange spots using these ingredients?

I could be wrong, but I don't think DOS can form in one day. I agree, it looks like tea stains.

ok good! i was pretty sure they were tea stains. i kinda don't like the way it turned out, but now i know what hibiscus tea leaves look like in soap.

That is definately NOT DOS and it can't show up in one day. I think your soap looks wonderful!!!
