LOL!!! Yes, I really did it :)

Purchased the fragrance oil from Natures Garden. Went to WalMart and bought the Lard. Came home and got crafty!

This soap smells AMAZING! I did a swirl of reddish-brown and hope it all looks great when we cut it.

I few friends came by this afternoon and saw it in the mold. They all said they HAVE to have a piece when they are ready to go.

I will be sure to post a few pics here after we get it cut.

As promised, pics of the Bacon Soap.

OMG! It must be bacon week. I made a soap this weekend and have been joking with my husband about the horrendous bacon bits soap I made. Not saying your soap is horrendous but mine is! It was just unexpected and I was just staring at it thinking, what is wrong with this soap, and it hit me, bacon bits. Gag!

I enjoy bacon, and I think Bacon soap would make a fun gag gift, but I can't see making it as a regular product, but that is just me. I really do enjoy chocolate, and would like to make a chocolate soap at some point, but I am not sure about making soap that smells/looks like food... well, with some exceptions for various spices like cinnamon and clove and such. Just me though :) (Yes, I know I made an apple soap ;-) )

I can't remember if I posted my bacon soap I made a while ago....I hated it when I made it but it's mellowed out and smells good now! The scents go great together (bacon, chocolate, caramel). It's a decadent dessert!

I am a chocoholic and I just have to say this whole chocolate covered bacon craze is so wrong! Total Chocolate abuse!!!! In my Option of course:razz:

I'm a chocoholic as well & have never actually eaten chocolate covered bacon. Some day I'll be brave enough. But the chocolate covered bacon wax smells delicious. It's a smokey, hickory scent mingled with sweet chocolate.

I made a sandalwood & rose soap this week that overheated so when I cut off the bottom of it, it looked like chunks of spam =\ Smells a bit better though.

I would hope Sandalwood and rose would smell better then spam!!
