I made my first whipped body butter, and it's pretty nice! However, it is really greasy first going on, then soaks into your skin very well, then leaves a nice silky, powdery feel to your hands (maybe a bit too powdery - a tad dry feeling?).
Anyway, I like it, but I know it could probably be better. I just don't like the slick greasy feeling when first putting it on. Any way to cut down on the greasiness a bit?
Here is the recipe I used:
1/2 pound shea butter
0.5 oz vit. E oil
4 tbsp modified corn starch
0.3 oz Jack Frost FO
Do you have any suggestions on what I can change to make it a little less oily/greasy feeling when you first apply it? What gives it such a greasy feel, the shea butter or the vit. E oil? Would substituting a light oil like grapeseed oil for part of the shea butter or vit. E help cut down some greasiness?
I'd appreciate any help/tips you can offer! Thanks!
