I've been using matte Online Labels for a while and have been happy with them. I'm preparing lip gloss tubes right now using the glossy labels, and I cannot get them to stick for the life of me. I have cleaned each tube with alcohol to ensure no oils, etc., are on the tube, so the tubes are clean and dry. They hold for about 10 minutes and then just come right off. I've not had this problem with the matte labels. Is this unusual, or is there something I don't know?

They're OL575WX Standard White Matte - worked great
OL5051WG White Gloss Inkjet - won't stick

I bought some colored ones once and had the same problem. I went right back to by old faithful and have "stuck" with them since. I think some are just cheap labels.

Do your labels wrap all the way around so that one end overlaps the other? I was having the same problem with my labels as well (falling off within minutes), until I used a larger label that overlapped slightly.

That's exactly what I had to do. Grrrrrrrrr. Thanks!

I had that problem on both my lip balm tubes and my push up
lotion bar tubes. I went back to my matte ones and then use
shrink wrap sleeves for both to keep them from getting dirty and
keep the tops on securely.

I used the matte on my lotion tubes, also. No problem with those. I use the 2 oz. twist up tubes and the shrink bands that go with them. The glossy labels stick to plastic bags just fine; wonder what it is about plastic tubes. Thanks for the help! All my balm tubes are labeled and wrapped thankfully. Not my favorite job.
