I'm tempted to soak some alkanet or some other natural colourant in the witch hazel bottle to spray the bath bomb mix with. Has anybody tried this before?

I'm just not that keen on using synthetic colourants and want to avoid them.

I haven't tried using natural colorants but would like to try.
I was thinking of infusing some oil with say, spirulina powder - and seeing if that would work?

Or just using straight powder.

Like i said I haven't tried yet.. so would like to see how others respond to your question too.

I put some alkanet root in the spray bottle with witch hazel and nothing happened, it just sat in and didn't mix. Oh well.

You could add botanicals throughout your mix for splashes of color (if you like that sort of thing), or leave your bombs white with colorful candy sprinkles on top for color too.

Mica is a nightmare. I recommend not using it unless you like a colored ring around your tub after each use.

I was thinking of adding spirulinaor lemon peel powder but thought it might be too scratchy. I might just have to try it though.
