My son and I spent a day at Ocean City, Maryland yesterday. We had a fantastic time and my son actually swam in the water...brrrr. I've never been able to swim at Ocean City, tooooooo cold for me! I'm more a Florida beach swimmer.
Anyways, while I we were there we cruised the boardwalk. One shop drew my attention...a sign in the window said "homemade soaps". Of course I had to go in. The girl at the shop was not the one who made the soaps, the soaper was not there. Was a little bummed because I wanted to chat with the soaper. Was not terribly impressed if truth be told. The soaps themselves actually were fine (they smelled nice) although a little on the small side for my liking (cut too thin). But the presentation was just.....not there. The soaps were stuck on a plate, no pretty labeling. NOWHERE did it list any ingredients at all. There was no thought put into this at all. The plates were full so I'm guessing maybe they weren't selling well...gee, I wonder why.
Anyway, like I said, the soap itself was fine but the presentation just was bare bones. My question is....if you're selling soaps in a retail shop that gets LOTs of business (Ocean city is hopping with people in the summertime) aren't you required to have a label listing all the ingredients???
