So today I REALLY felt like soaping, but Im outa most ingredients and am waiting for a shipment to arrive, so I figured I would do some experimenting with rebatching (since I have a cupboard full of misshaps)

So I had this green tea soap which was a failure due to the use of a pringles mold that over heated:

Ugly huh.

So I rebatched and got this:

Ive rebatched before with no success, so this time I played around. This is what I did differently:

Added some shea butter, a little more tea, microwaved for about 5 mins in short bursts and then got my egg beater and beat it untill it went creamy ( I later found out this is refered to as whipped soap) and changed colour and then very quickly spooned it into the mold.

The best thing is.....the smell of the natural green tea is more apparent and.....fingers crossed.....will remain.

I've done another couple of experiments with the 'whipped rebatch' making cupcakes, will see how they turn out.

Wow that is one nice save :0) I have some Black tea sitting on my shelves that no-one seems to want maybe I shoud be having a go at rebatching, thought it might be nicer with Lemongrass added to it

Nice save. Did you have to grate your soap before zapping it or did you just cut it into chunks?

This one I grated but I did another batch with off cuts that I just cut into chunks and it turned out the same.

Thanks for all the nice feedback :)

Looks very nice. Could never tell it was a rebatch--nice and smooth.
