Be gentle, I'm super new
This was the first time I've used goat's milk powder. This is either my 9th or 10th batch -- I'm starting to lose count, but I think that's a good thing! Things went pretty well; I hadn't made a plan to gel or not gel, I just figured I'd let the soap do its thing... and it did. It gelled *almost* all the way through. This is the second time that's happened, so I'm going to start using a heating pad on low for an hour or so rather than only insulating them after I pour, to see if I can push the gel just that little bit further.
This was also the first time I tried a chopstick swirl; I know we're meant to only try one new thing at a time, but I'm a rebel. Oh. It was also the first time I've ever used this fragrance. Or vanilla stabilizer.
Anyway, my whole house smells like berries -- I'm getting sick of making pretty things and then putting them away in the pantry where nobody sees them, so in addition to the rest of the batch which is still sitting on my soaping counter, waiting to be trimmed and put away, I've got bars sitting as decorations in two of our bathrooms. They're clearly set aside and everybody knows not to *use* them, I just want them to mature in an area where they can also be enjoyed
Here's the bar that's in our ensuite bathroom -- I used half the usual scent level (it seemed like a strong scent and I kind of want the goat milk soap scent to still be there) but our whole bedroom smells sooo good right now.
