My 6 y/o son & I worked on this for 3 hours last night & I put in another 2 hours this mornong. The packages *should* have been red, blue & yellow to compliment our logo, but my sonlikes pink-LOL!

While we were painting the city emplyee in charge of the downtown area came by and asked could she hire me to paint some additional windows downtown on several building. Woo-hoo!

Such magical windows

Tabitha you have done a wonderfull job of those windows. No wonder you are getting offered more work.
30 something years ago I did all the local shop christmas windows for a few years.
My gosh ,how time flies and how one thing rolls on to another.
You will do very well at all your endeavours.

Thanks everyone! Does anyone know the going rate for window painting?

Bartering is good!

I write/print/distribute a downtown monthly newletter & have been meaning to get a barter thing going on through that, esp w/ todays economic crisis going on. I was thinking about setting up a barter forum for my area, in all my spare time that is  .

My thighs hurt so bad I can hardly walk. Think 1 million squats  . Up w/ the paint, down w/ the paint up with the paint, down with the paint... Hubby thinks it's hilarious!

Re: Windows

That is adorably cute. :) I would certainly shop there with windows like that. :) I miss my candle shop. I sold it years ago and I miss it dearly.

3 cartons of champagne and get them to throw in a flight to somewhere for a two $300 cash.
Just suggesting that you consider a bit of old fashioned bartering.
I like the way you think and barter Starduster!!!

Tab - that would be super to have a barter forum. And post in the shop. Folks get used to coming in to read the bulletin board.........holidays are coming...........they need gifts.............you have wonderful items............ And congrats on the paint job!! You can get paid while keeping your bum and thighs ready for next summer with all the squats.

Maybe your son likes pink because he uses . Perhaps it is a gentle reminder for us that no matter how hectic life gets, slipping on a pair of rose colored glasses every now and then is not such a bad idea.

Bartering.

I really do think bartering is the go in the present turn of mass conciousness panic about money at the moment. My feelings are that it is best to approach it on an individual situation ,then you have more leverage to decide what you really want and go for it.Remember nothing is too small or large .Just wish for it. (Blowing stardust your way.)

We soapers have a real commodity to trade with.
Trading could be fun, lead to all sorts of adventures because instead of unconciously pulling out fantastic plastic or the crinkly wrinkly shrinking money stuff you would be very aware of how long it took you to create the soap and how unique it was.
Never mind ,just my daydream of putting some sparkle back into the world again ,one bar of exquisite soap at a time.
