i just got the ok from herb mart, a local natural foods grocery down the street from me! they ordered 20 bars of soap!! i'm delivering them on saturday. i'm so thrilled. gotta get to work labeling and packaging them

Awesome!!!

How did you manage to do that? What kind of terms did you set? (I'm thinking about wholesale)

how did i do it? well, i targeted them, as they sell lots of vegan stuff and my soap is vegan. i live down the street from them and im a regular customer there as well. i dropped off some samples and negotiated a price such that they made a 50% profit and were able to charge 20% below my etsy price online. i sold for $2.00/bar to them and they will charge $4.00/bar which is 20% below my etsy price of $5.00/bar. i do not have to collect sales tax on this sale, and it is a guaranteed sale of 20 bars. i thought it was worth a try. i think i'll include some free samples of my other soaps too, in case they would like to carry those as well.
