I made this batch on the stove. I began by goofing up the amount of lye I was dissolving. Thankfully I had soapcalc on my laptop and increased my batch size from 3 lbs to 3 1\2 lbs. Then measured out the additional oils and added them to the pot to melt down. I added my lye water and used my stick blender. Trace happened within about 5 minutes. Then my stick blender broke! I had been expecting it to break so I hollered for my daughter to run and get the new one as I continued to stir by hand. She set up the new one I stuck it in the pot pushed the button and the soap didn't move! Evidently the cheap stick blender from Walmart isn't good enough for soap! My hubby came to my rescue and hooked up the hand mixer. I do not recommend using a hand mixer because it does fling tiny bits of soap out of the pot. I had to grab the vinegar for a few tiny specks which hit my forehead... While I was washing my face, hubby kept stirring. I wasn't gone for 2 minutes and he says I think it's done! I come back and my soap is a pile of dry waxy looking stuff!!! I quickly grabbed my scent dumped it in said Mix that in quickly! I gloved up again, grabbed my mold then grabbed the pan and molded it in about 1 minute flat. Lol The whole batch took 1 hour! As I finished cleaning up, I discovered it has bubbles!!! Lol
