Ok so its not the fanciest recipe out there but this is my first attemp to make a recipe that has more than three oils. (numbers in %)

Lard 30_____hardness 42
OO 30______cleansing 21
CO 15______conditioning 53
Babassu 15__Iodine 55
Castor 10____INS 156

So someone out there probably has something really similar to this so any comments and suggestions would be appreciated. :D

I'd pull the castor back to about 5 myself, but that's just me. I don't like sticky things. I'd replace it with olive oil and bring down the cleansing just a tad. It will eventually be quite hard. Just personal preference.

Ok did some tweaking and got

Lard 35____Hardness 40
OO 35 ____ Cleansing 16
CO 10_____Condition 56
Bab 13_____Iodine 59
Cas 7 _____INS 148

Thanks for the suggestion I think I like it better now!

Ooo, should be really nice. I use 7% castor in all of my regular soaps. :D

The edited recipe looks super nice! I personally use castor at 10% and haven't had any problems with it being sticky but I do know that sticky soap is no fun! ;)

I started at 5% castor, and slowly upped it until settling on 10% myself, also. I do make shampoo bars on occasion using 15% castor, and for a shaampo bar it's awesome, but I wouldn't like it as a body bar.

Hmmm....shampoo bars....I think Ill have to try that!! :D
Thank you all for the kind responses and help, I am getting ancy to try out my first recipe, but this midwest winter is not cooperating :?
