This example is not so obvious. This is my Lavendar soap the first picture is gelled and the second picture is ungelled. In this soap I preferred the gelled.

This is my MacIntosh Apple soap the first soap is gelled and the second is ungelled. In this soap I preferred the ungelled.

It is totally the look that decides what I like, all of the soaps are great when I use them. I just prefer the look of some of them gelled and some ungelled. If I want the top to have the whipped frosting look I don't gel them, as they melt down when they gel.
