I made my first CP soap and am ridiculously proud of it even though it didn't turn out as I was expecting. It's ugly (those sad, sad tops and no drop swirl), but I love it!

It smells like soap, feels like soap and has no zap.

The recipe moved crazy fast, and I had to plop it into the mold. I smacked it pretty good but still ended up with air pockets since it was setting up so fast. The odd orange color did go away.

Thanks to everyone for helping me on my other thread to diagnosis my issues!

I am in love with...

FO from Brambleberry: Ginger Ale
Micas from Mad Oils (Peacock Blue and Goldfinger)

That is mighty fine first batch of CP! Who cares about the air pockets. I will have to read your other thread but I have found BB's gingerale to be very slow moving, although it does seem to vary from recipe to recipe. For mine, it slows down trace.

I love those colors and I think your tops are fairly good. Now, you poor CP sucker, you have to wait for WEEKS to use it! ;)

I have a weakness for teal... And for your first batch its gorgeous. I was too afraid to even try a swirl on my first cp batch! Lol Newbie how many of us ACTUALLY wait the full cure time before "trying" it.. We should but I know I never do.

Not bad at all for your first batch! In fact, I think they are gorgeous! I love, love, love the colors!

Those look great! I cant believe you tried swirls on your first batch!

I think they look great and I love the colors. Don't worry about air pockets because they prove the soap is handmade.

Besides, I still get air pockets occasionally. ;)

You should be proud if this is your first soap. :) Mine was nothing to look at and it actually ended up in the bin hehe.
It looks fantastic! I love that blue colour.
