Was trying out a new FO and wanted to use fruit puree so I discounted a bit of water to make up for the puree. But I discounted too much, obviously a dumb thing to do, I've done this before, and told myself "okay, not gonna do that again" (let's be honest here, I'll probably do it again.)

So my soap turns to a huge clump in the bowl, and I add a little water bit by bit and stick blend the crap out of it till it's mostly creamy and consistent.

Poured into the mold and it started to look really translucent and vaseline-y! just like HP.

And my bowl was even sudsing up when I went to rinse it out! It was like my CP soap got so hot that it HP'd on the spot. I did not zap test it, too scared, but I thought it was funny/strange.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Yep. That is the one way I know of to often successfully salvage a seized batch - just wrap a towel around the bowl and watch it HP itself right there. SB it smooth (or just beat the crap out of it with whatever you have at hand) and slam it into the mold. Voila!

Like CP soaping and rebatching all in one step.

yup. has happened to me. A couple of times I tossed it in a warm oven, a couple of times I dumped a bunch of cream in it (was handy then SB the life out of it). I especially like the ones with cream. Ended up gorgeous.

wow, good tips! This is the first time it's happened to me and I didn't know it could gel right there in the bowl. you live and learn! thanks.

When you say 'cream', do you mean dairy cream?

thanks! Just trying to learn all I can from reading on the forum, and that one definitely caught my interest.

Hi! yes, I had it on the counter for my coffee. I had taken a water discount, not very much, but the e.o. I had was compromised, I think. After I had some frustrations with previous batches with that e.o., I wanted it to cool down asap so hence the cream! It is a lovely soap now, but I said a few naughty words (the shame! the shame!) at the time

That is so cool!! I've never had that experience yet, I'm glad I got the picture before it happens one day tho :) Glad you saved it!!
