On my "new to soap-making" journey, I'm now trying a couple small batches with around 83% oat milk as a water replacement. Curious to see any differences between just using water.
Does anyone here prefer adding their oatmilk, almond milk, to their oil as opposed to the lye solution? If so, what % of your liquids do you substitute for these? Do you freeze your oat/almond milk into cubes?
I just used ice cold oatmilk (unfrozen). It turned dark orange upon mixing with lye. I don't mind the natural color it gives the soap, but I may try freezing it next time to see if it helps lighten the color.
