Hi, I am new to the forum and have been making soap for several years (melt and pour). I notice some of you talk about wrapping your soap. I never have done this - just unmold and place in a basket in my bathroom (family use only). Is wrapping necessary for some reason? Also, I have had bars get white looking mold on them sometimes. This doesn't seem to effect the soap, but it is weird...any comments on cause?

If it's melt and pour, most likely it is from the MP base drying out. I find it happens with bases that contain SLS or SLES. You can add a bit of glycerin or oil with the base, remelt it, and it will be fine. It's not mold.
