The top was a boo boo, but I really like what happened in my recipe/trace experiment. The black is AC and the pink is rose clay. I was a bit inspired by a Mossy Creek soap that newbie posted recently on the browsing soap pics thread. I’m calling the technique controlled free form spoon plop :). Or does the technique already have a name?

I love that--you make very pretty ****oos---ooops I see that the top was a ****oo!! I really like the mainly white bar, it makes the colors pop

I love them and the marbled effect! May I ask how you did it? Maybe a thicker trace and then plopped it in randomly with a spoon?

Yes, that exactly! I will go with a slightly thicker trace next time to get more curves and points, but will remember this as a way to get thin bands in diagonal layering (which would have been a good trick to have when I made my landscape soaps :)).

I like it. Maybe some dots of the pink on top of the soap or a spoon top would have helped but really it is a lovely soap.
I’m thinking of doing a thin solid top the next time to go with the minimalist design. It will depend on whether or not I can keep some of the batter thin enough. Something like this one I did on another soap.
