Oh galaxy, I'm sure they would have been good enough to compete! I was so scared about mine that I didn't look at the entries properly until I had uploaded my link so I couldn't chicken out.

I loved your chequer cake Chloe, and I was also very impressed with the kiwis. I don't know how people are so good with melt and pour, I find it a faffy sticky mess!

Are you entering this time lionprincess?

No. I was busy trying to make the 15 swap soaps, then I made a batch of 16 "extras" that didn't work out right (for the swap), then made three batches in a 6 round mold as the extras for the swap. (I've GOT to get more rounds!!). I was so exhausted I just didn't have it in me to even try to make the desserts. I did, though, research and save pics for inspiration, but I just gave up the idea. I instead am looking to the ebru challenge, something I've never done...until last night! I really like it and am going to focus on that now.

I'm loving all the entries, and as I told newbie I'm so glad I didn't enter lol! I'd have been sorely embarrassed! Everyone's is so wonderful and I'm loving seeing everyone's process...so tedious, time consuming, but so rewarding to see the accomplishment it appears.

Awww thank you! Makes me happy! I'm putting some forum member names to blogs but it tough with these usernames! :)

I know! I'm Amber waves of soap, no lionprincess on my page. It's hard trying to place people sometimes off here. I think I remember you doing a review or thing on some cool molds, giving dimensions to people on the molds etc...that was when I first learned of you. (hope I'm making sense lol).

How did you do your ebru? Have u posted a pic on here? I am wondering if you put the pigments in just oil and float them on the surface or if you just make really fluid soap batter and use that. I think it might sink though.......

I've just linked mine - number 17 on the international section. I was seriously considering not entering mine after seeing some of the amazing soaps that have been created! I just keep reminding myself its a learning opportunity - I would never have tried something like this without a challenge to spur me on! Seriously some amazing talent out there (including those entered from this forum!)

Soapswirl, I think yours look great. To me its sounding like we are all super critical of ourselves because all of the ones that I looked at from our SMF family look fantastic!

Thanks galaxy! I think you're right, and lots of us seem a fair bit outside our comfort zone with this challenge. I just read your blog post - I'm amazed by how realistic you tiramisu is! Fantastic!

Hi! I'm the red velvet soaps in the international (#3) and I knew I had to link up as soon as I could before I'd become too intimidated to enter.
Everyone's entries look AMAZING.

What is 'ebru'? And is that next month's challenge?

I think everyone's are great. I'm so glad you decided to enter in the end Galaxy, you had nothing to worry about! I think that most of the people doing the soap challenges usually make cold process and only dabble in melt and pour and unusually shaped bars, so this was out of many of our comfort zones. I think we were all way too overly critical of ourselves!

Now that I'm reading through everyone's blog posts and more detailed pictures its getting harder for me to choose my 3!
Oh, I agree! This is going to be so hard to choose!
I didn't think I would participate in this challenge, but I changed my mind in the last moment. I'm happy I did - I have definitely learnt something new. :D I'm the last one (#20) in the international section.
