Milk and Lye solution

Hi everyone,
I am wondering if it is ok to make my lye solution a day or so before I make soap. I know you can do that with water, but I wasn't sure I could do that with milk. Would it spoil?

To be honest, I haven't tried it but milk has fat in it and it will become thick at the very least and yes, it might spoil. :wink:

The fat in the milk saponifies so your left with globs of yellow milk soap floating in the lye which doesn't incorporate into the soap batter real well. I left mine to cool once n thats what happened for me anyway.
