I'm looking for something mild, low cleansing but not to soft of a soap, is that possible?
What ingredients would be good to use for eczema, gm, oats....?
Any advise appreciated :)

I made one for my son. It had rosehip seed oil, Tamanu oil, Evening primrose oil, hemp oils, and neem oil. Added to my basic soap forumla. It was probally over kill but it worked great. Probally should have put it all in a lotion but oh well.

The soap I make is a goatsmilk soap with
Tamanu oil 2%, 1% EACH : carrot seed oil, ejyptian geranium, Lavender & 2 tablespoons per lb colliodal oatmeal.
It works really well, all these oils help with inflammation, redness & flaky skin.

exept for tamanu oil, I have everything, but those EO are to expensive...for me to use in soap, I use them in creams...but thanks for telling me :)

Pippit - try making a Goat's Milk soap using high Olive Oil (65%), Coconut Oil (20%), Castor Oil (5%), and Shea Butter at 10%.

The Goat's Milk is going to bring really soothing properties. If you can get your hands on oat flour, then I would recommend you add it otherwise you can grind oats with a mortar and pestle into a powder after running it through your food processor. As for fragrance, it you feel the need for fragrance, do it lightly, otherwise leave it unscented.....

How nice of you to want to help your friend....

ETA - Try a superfat of 7% with this for the moisturizing qualities.....
