measuring oil & colour... help please

Hello there,

Im only just starting out with my new fad (soap making), If I melt down 500gms of soap base (melt and pour) is it ok to add 1% colour and 1% fragrance oil, which is 5ml of each?

Hey, just me.......that is fine on the fragrance. I usually add my colour drop by drop until it suits me. Depending on the colour you are using, a little can really go a long way If you are using a natural ingredient for your colour you may need more. Just always start off with very small amounts and go by eye. It also depends on the fragrance you are using, but 1% is great as a general rule. HTH
