This is my margarita salt bar. Its 95% coconut 5% castor. Looks pretty plain but smells amazing. I used 80% salt. I was able to prevent gel by sticking it in a snow bank for an hour

This one is my first layered soap. It is a mixture of oils I had laying around and had to get rid of. I was planning on doing an egg layer and charcoal layer but the egg curdled during tempering so I threw it out. I am really loving the slate color of the charcoal. I will show unmolded pics of the layering.

The salt bar looks likes it smells amazing for sure! And I'm loving the colour of the charcoal too. Nice!

They both look great! My salt bars should be ready in about a week and I can't wait to try them. Wish mine smelt like margaritas though! lol

Snow already??!! Poor you! (Soaps look lovely, BTW).

We've had snow since the 5th :( And its that time of year where it thaws during the day and freezes at night so the roads are a slick mess

I forgot to mention that the charcoal layered soap is scented with monkey farts LOL I hope people got that from the title of the thread

Lucky you, I wish we had snow "already", I think it's pretty late by now! ;)

Anyway, great soaps and I wish we could be able to smell them too ;)

Send that snow downunder was 30.5 c in my car on the way to school at 0830 this morning!!!!!
I have been converted to a salt soap fan and would love to try the lovely.......Ooops I mean lovliest :D Hazels recipe a go and will as soon as I get the lid down on these christmas orders!!!!!! Beautiful salt soaps and your layered when I saw the first pics the tops reminded me of granite bench tops which of course I would love for my house :D

You can have all the snow we get aslong as you send the sun here! It was -10 all day today and I know its only going to get colder.

I really do like the charcoal layered ones. The charcoal really does it for me and if I were to ever sell soap these would be one of the lucky soaps to be sold.

My next challenge is using canola oil with betacarotene in it.
