Has anyone used this essential oil blend from WSP. I am not familiar with Madagascar and wondered what this smells like from those of you who have tried it...Thanks!

I've used it in a cream. It's hard to describe. There's kind of a floral scent but it's not really sweet smelling. I'd say it's a spicy floral. It's supposed to have vanilla in it so maybe that's what I'm smelling. It's nice but it's not a very feminine scent, IMO.

Warning: This is a very strong scent but it's not overwhelming. You might have to experiment to find what percentage to use.

I don't know if this helps you any.

Well, I'm looking for a "man" scent for one of my soaps. Something like Old Spice, but it needs to be a natural scent. I was thinking this or Cedarwood sage...

indigenous is really nice, hard to pin down, but I see it as "manly", although I like it too. Something different from the regular stuff. It's essential oils are listed as Cedar, sage and corriander.

I have used it and love it although I disagree with previous posts that it is a manly scent. To my nose, it smells very feminine! It has ylang ylang in it and that smell comes through very strongly. I can also smell the vanilla undertones. A little of this scent goes a long way!

If you wanted a masculine scent, then I don't think this would be a good one but this is just my opinion. Cedarwood & Sage sounds good to me.

My nephew likes the scent of Dragon's Blood in his soaps. You might consider that one, too. I've only used the one from WSP which has Amber, Myrrh, Sandalwood and Patchouli scents in it. Although, it is considered a FO.

eta: I looked at what I had said earlier and I thought I ought to clarify my statement about my opinion on this scent. It's definitely not a masculine scent but I don't think it's very feminine, either. I can smell a bit of spice in my bottle and very faint floral. It is a nice scent because I don't like overly sweet scents. However, I wasn't really impressed with it in the cream. Maybe I ought to try it in a batch of soap. Sometimes I've used a fragrance in a batch and liked it a lot more.

Also, I've had this bottle for over a year. The fragrance could have altered.

I can send a sniffie if you'd like to smell it before you make a decision.

I agree with Hazel. Anything with cedarwood, fir, juniperberry; add a little lemon, orange, or even peppermint and it could make a great "manly scent".

For a manly scent from WSP, I love Burmese Wood. It will discolor though because it contains vanilla.

I forgot about fir or juniper. Thanks for mentioning them. I have both of these EOs and I've been wanting to make a batch which would appeal more to male family members. Although, I have blended lime EO with Mint Thyme EO blend and they really like the scent. My sisters and I like this scent, too.

Several people on this forum have mentioned Bay Rum as a popular masculine scent.

I love Bay Rum! Wasn't especially impressed with BB's but loved the one from WSP. When making a manly scent that is my first choice.
