I just ran out of my macadamia nut oil that I ordered from a supplier for the purposes of B&B products, but I have macadamia nut oil here that I got in a grocery store. Are they the same animal, or is there a cosmetic grade/food grade issue - or another reason I shouldn't use the grocery store stuff?

TIA (again) :D

Well, that's the thing. I'm using it in a lotion, so it's not a wash-off product. It says "cold-pressed" and everything looks the same as the stuff I ordered from the soap supply. I'm thinkin' it's alright too.
Thanks!

LJA watch out for supermarket oils adding flavouring to the oil. I buy quite a few oils from my local supermarket, sunflower, grapeseed etc are all ok but some of the small bottles of "luxury" oils can have stuff added. If it's cold pressed it's more unlikely they have tinkered with it, but worth checking!

Oh wow....good thinking. I'll check on that. Thank you! :D

Edited to add: I found it online. I don't see added flavors. My mom lives in northern michigan in a little town. Nabbed these for 2 bucks at a 5 and dime type place. http://www.rolandfood.com/#W4qDp70u2
