Lye

I am having the hardest time finding lye! Only ACE has it so far that I have found and they are tiny bottles. Where do you buy your lye? Thanks!

I get mine from essential depot or a local supply company. You can also purchase it from WSP or Nature's Garden.

I've gotten mine online from brambleberry and wholesale supplies plus (depending on what else I want to buy). Their lye comes in flakes which I like better than pellets. They aren't they least expensive, but they always have other things I want too.

Essential Depot for routine purchases(I get my KOH at the same time to save shipping costs.) and Lowe's Roebic for emergencies.

The ones I get from Ace are 1 or 2 lb bottles (cant remember) but each lasts me for several batches. I just cleared out my local Ace, and when I told them they promised to keep lye in stock for me They are literally half a block from me, and the price is right, so I don't see a point in ordering NaOH online.

You can buy lye (caustic soda) from Coles in the laundry aisle

Buying from Essential Depot via Amazon has saved me a lot of $ in the past. I've noticed, lately, that the Amazon specials are not as great as they used to be.
