hi guys im new to the soapmaking world! im loving every minute of making soap! i have tried only simple receipes so far,im on my 3rd batch, my question is i am totally aware of how toxic lye fumes can be when mixing lye with water and adding to oils but while soap is curing does it still give off toxic fumes over the 4 week cure time? i cure my soap in my house and have a 1 yr old boy and just worried fumes circulating around r house! it mite b a silly question but totally new to all this and slowly learning everything to do wif cp soapmaking! many thanks :)

While soap is curing, there shouldn't be any active lye in your soap.

But if anyone in your home is sensitive to scents, the fragrance oils and/or essential oils could be irritating.
