I have tried 4 batches with hanger swirls. The first one was just straight up and down, and the second one achieved what I was trying to do only I could only see if it I sliced the bar in half width wise. I particularly like the swirls by SavonnerieMika on Youtube and they almost look like flowers. I tried two batches again tonight just by study her movements but I don't think it swirled enough. Could my hanger be too thin? Any ideas on how to do this?

Do you have pics of your swirl bars? It might help us troubleshoot better.
It could be that your soap batter is too thick, your hanger could be too thin, moving the hanger too fast or I've also heard that there's a secret to cutting the soap. Something about cutting 3 inch thick bars & then cutting those in half. I've had many great swirlers tell me that. I have no idea if it's true or not, since I keep forgetting to cut them like that.
If you think it's because the hanger's too thin, just wrap some masking tape around it.
